Individual Treatment: Couples

Song: Country Boys and City Girls/For The Girl - The Fratelli's

Narrative: The video begins with a couple as an arguement starts. Each verse/half verse would introduce a new couple as an arguement, usually about something petty, breaks out. These arguements would escalate throughout the video with the couples breaking up/making up at the climax, with the video ending on a door being slammed.

Action:
  • The actors would mouth the lyrics to the song (definately the verses).
  • The band could be present at the time of the fights, as if they are playing a gig in their living room/in a club/in the street, with the couples taking no notice of them.
  • During the choruses the arguements would escalate, into fighting/throwing things at each other (like vases/pictures/drinks), and calm down in synch with the song, as the choruses are a lot faster and louder (with more guitars and almost shouting lyrics) than the conversational verses.
  • At the bridge, a period of calm would happen with all the couples being shown in slow motion/freezeframed or just exhausted. The action would restart after the "one, two, three, four, five, *scream*" with a sudden rush of frenzy/the action resuming.

Locations: Streets, clubs, bars, pubs, homes, apartments, parks

Actors: Actors with different looks would be needed so that the 'couples' would be easily identified. The band would most likely be dressed in a similiar way to the Message idea, easily distinguishable from the characters.
